Resumo: The teaching of complex numbers has a big importance in high school, but what we see
historically is a strictly algebraic and formal application, meaningless, poorly understood by
students and out of context.
The goal of the present work is to propose a discussion about teaching and learning of
Complex Numbers, exploring it’s geometry from theoretical and computational points of
view.
Along the way we will approach it with a historical basis, showing the impasses and
limitations of mathematicians in each time for the acceptance of these numbers and evolution
of their study. Also we treat the content in the geometric aspects in a dynamic way, which
is adequate to facilitate and further assist the understanding.
Supporting all the work is the use of computational resources that are currently an important tool in favor of mathematical knowledge construction process, as the visual displaying
contributes greatly to this. Among them stands out the GeoGebra software that is affordable
and easy to use.
In addition to teaching resources we try to show the applications of Complex Numbers in
other areas of knowledge, thus allowing more consistent teaching practices with the profile
of students of modern society.

Resumo: This research analyzes a important piece of Education: the process of teaching
mathematics at primary education level. At the core of its proposal there is
the study of the methodological trends that make up the current framework
of discussions in Mathematics Education. Starting from the teaching experience
of this paper autorship, we aimed mainly to create possibilities for the
ressignification in the way of teaching and learning geometry in high school,
from the structuring of new media for the classroom dynamics which considers
technologies and Ethnomathematics focus of this research. After the necessary
discussions, presents a proposal that interlink the two methodological trends of
our focus, making them talk to each other, and it also shows a contextualized
activity that takes into account this whole context. The proposed activity is
configured as an alternative media for Mathematics classrooms, contemplating
the use of a software (GeoGebra) in an environment with computers and also
the linking of content to everyday situations of the students.

Resumo: The present work presents a differentiated way of approaching the concept of limits
and their properties, considering that many students have di culties assimilating each
concept and apply them in the resolution of exercises or practical problems of the day to
day. For the purpose of this work to be achieved, we use playful examples that are present
in our daily life in order to facilitate the understanding of the concepts and properties
of boundaries and to aid in the understanding of more abstract concepts, geometry was
a primordial tool in this scenario, since there are concepts that are geometrically easier
to understand when compared to the use of algebra, for example, the use of epsilon and
delta in the de nition of limits. We also show alternative ways of approaching each boundary
property without departing from mathematical rigor and always assuming that the
boundary concept should not be memorized, or that limiting techniques are not necessary
when one understands all terms and Properties that are associated with the setting.

Resumo: This dissertation aims to show how mathematics through his numerous theories,
that for the vast majority of students never leave the abstraction eld, such as group
theory, can be associated with a world famous toy, the Rubik's Cube. It can be noted
that the cube's movements change the settings of the faces but retain the overall shape
of the cube, therefore we can represent such movements as permutations. Finally, we
saw that the set of all faces permuta?ons of the Rubik's cube form a group and used
the group theory to analyze what is the actual amount of valid solutions that can be
used in its resolution.Writing an e cient abstract is hard work.
