Transgeracionalidade da violência sexual infantojuvenil e a relação mãe e filha

Abstract

Recently, the issue of child and adolescent sexual violence has been treated with greater interest due to the growing number of cases in Brazil and the world, being one of the most reported types of mistreatment since the Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA) has gone into effect. In many cases, the mothers of victims have also suffered sexual violence as children, which resulted in them being incapable of protecting their daughters from a possible aggressor; and thus, resulting in trauma across generations and follows a cycle of violence and suffering, which can have devastating consequences, creating enormous damage to maturing. This study aims to investigate the meaning and senses attributed to the transgerationality of child and adolescent sexual violence, emphasizing the mother-daughter relationship. In order to achieve this goal, two empiric studies were conducted. Both are qualitative studies based on the psychoanalytical method, cross sectional, organized in studies of multiple cases, with the data being collected from September/2019 to February/2020 at a Child and Adolescent Psychosocial Care Center in a city in the state of Minas Gerais. In the first Study, we learned about the perception of mothers regarding the mother-daughter relationship, and the fact that both had been victims of child sexual violence, based on the experiences that the mother had with her own mother and with her daughter. Seven mothers participated in this survey. The data was collected through three techniques: Storytelling through Drawing procedure (D-E/T), individual semi-structured interviews, and transferential narratives, with the latter also being used to present and analyze the data. In the second Study, we sought to understand the perspective of health professionals regarding the mother-daughter relationship and the fact that both had been victims of child sexual violence. Fourteen higher-education professionals in different fields participated in this survey. Two techniques were used in order to collect the data: semi-structured interviews and transferential narratives, with the latter also being used to present and analyze the data. It was observed that there is no balance in the mother-daughter relationship, which sometimes is overly protective, and sometimes is absent, with childcare management being difficult for these mothers. We concluded that transgenerational trauma makes mothers vulnerable and paralyzes their maturity; and in order to offer an environment where their daughters can mature, mothers will also require mental health care.
