O gênero causo na sala de aula: trabalhando oralidade, resgate cultural e patrimônio linguístico em Bom Despacho-MG

Abstract

In this action research we carry out a work with the orality from the conception that this is not a less privileged part of the communication process, considering it, thus, as one of the possible modalities of the language, together with the writing. Thus, our main target is to investigate how the oral genre Causo can stimulate the development of expression and public oral exposure of students from the 4th and 5th grades of Elementary School in a public school in the municipal network of the town of Bom Despacho (MG). We opted for the Causo genre because it is a textual-discursive genre that is not widely used in today's society, and also because it has characteristics that allow working with orality and cultural issues, which allowed us to explore the Causes and customs of the city of Bom Despacho, as well as making it possible to recover the linguistic heritage of these individuals. In addition, we developed and applied, as an intervention proposal, an Activity Roadmap with eight stages that focuses on the Cause genre, considering the relationship of interaction and complementarity between the oral and written modalities of the language and the notion of adequacy to the social practice in which the individual is inserted. In this script, we initially approach the notion and recognition of other discursive textual genres, mainly of the narrative typology, and then make possible the familiarization with the genre Causo. Finally, in such a Roadmap, we focus on the elaboration, presentation and registration of Causes produced by students participating in the research, who sought to rescue the cultural and linguistic heritage of the community to which they belong. In the city of Bom Despacho, we have speak of quilombola origin and the working with local causes contributes to the rescue and linguistic construction, thus strengthening the identity character of the Brazilian Portuguese varieties and the relationships of mutual belonging of the subjects who use it. In this sense, we developed a work methodology that had, as an object of study, in all stages, texts that are part of the daily life of the participating community, thus seeking to enable students and the community involved, the recognition and appreciation of their practices of language.
