Concepção de mulher em professoras da disciplina Educação Cristã em escolas educacionais evangélicas do Triângulo Mineiro

Abstract

This research entitled Conception of Woman in Teachers of Christian Education in denominational Evangelical schools of Triângulo Mineiro, aims to analyze, from texts of the Bible and related studies (particularly from the theological area), aspects about the concept of woman, that is, analyze what concept the teachers of Christian education of Evangelical denominational schools have about woman, that is, whether it is a concept more focused on the roles that the Bible suggests, or if their discourse is perpassed by a current feminist vision. Another goal was to analyze if in Christian Education some conception of woman is worked, and if so, which concept it would be. We use as a technique for data collection and composition of the corpus, the interview, which was conducted individually with each teacher, recorded and subsequently transcribed. For data analysis, we use the technique of elaboration and analysis of Meaning units developed by Moreira, Sen and Porto (2005). The technique proposed by the authors has the following criteria: Naive Reporting, identification of attitudes and Interpretation. Ten teachers were interviewed in all three Evangelical denominational schools in the cities of Uberaba and Uberlandia and who also teach the subject Christian education in the elementary school. We conclude that the participating teachers in the survey believe that the Bible has a conception of woman, because all interviewed responded affirmatively to this question, and according to them, this profile corresponds to that woman who is responsible for the smooth running of the home, such as the care of her husband and children. On the other hand, we observe that all have suffered influence of feminist discourse in their career, because that encourages the woman to browse professional fulfilment. We realize that this blending of roles has brought great controversy to those women surveyed, as the role of mother and wife remains on them and now also added the obligation of becoming providers along with their partners, in addition to being qualified professionals. Finally, we note that the accumulation of functions has been a destabilizing factor for all of them. The answer of the majority was quite revealing: seven teachers responded that it is very valid, very good for the woman to have achieved this space, but, and this was intriguing, the women interviewed are disguised, because if on the one hand they feel happy and able to occupy the professional market, on the other they feel stifled and crushed, because what they claim is that rather than taking a right, they have conquered more responsibility, because apart from caring for their home, with their husband and children, they also need to take care of their professional life.
